If that's really what the K-r replacement will be, then just imagine the K-5's successor!!

I'm still holding out for FF...

Another "detail": nowhere it is said that the viewfinder is a pentaprism.

But Ricoh are in favour of value for money, that's for sure.
Hmm, I'm sure I've seen (or overheard) somewhere it's pentaprism w/ 100% coverage ...

OK coming from Frank (who has the inside line on things Pentax related), this is wonderful news! Thanks...

Same as the K-5 without lens, isn't it?

I'm not sure at all if I like the new prism design, but otherwise this looks very good.
The prism top is flattened so to make the camera more portable? Probably Pentax try to make the camera as compact as possible while still pack enough features in it.

Definitely this will cannibalize K5 sales (though I imagine it is Pentamirror rather than Pentaprism and no top lcd, and there will likely be other differences. I would guess K5 successor isn't too far off either (given the rumoured 3 apsc camera line then is this the middle one??? or the entry!!!)
Certainly looks like a very capable camera
The K200d has a top LCD so it wouldn't surprise me for a mid-level WR body to have a pentamirror and top lcd. The K-3 or what ever they will call it would have the pentaprism, magnesium body and newer sensor. What will be interesting is the af system and the buffer.

Not impossible, but more difficult with the mode dial on the same side.

First picture of the K-30. It looks pretty good, but I'm not sure about the battery deal... (more K-r like than K-5 like). I was hoping it would use the same batteries as the K-7/K-5/K-01...

Hey, why give photo rumors hits when they're just slowly catching up with this thread?
