Little Boy or Fat Man, on the other hand, are very explicitly referring to atomic bombs. That would be an intentional insult.
The term "K-z" (KZ) cannot have a different meaning/connotation in Germany. It's clearly connotated to the death camps.
Enter "KZ" at google.de (Germany) and your first entry will be the death camps. This is not open to interpretation. Germans will link it immediately to the death camps, which are still to be visited as memorials and deeply burned into the collective memory of the German people.
