Wrong.
The GX10 is almost identical to the K10. The differences are only cosmetic.
Given the context of the original comment I think we a seeing a mis-type of GX20 and K20D

Remember this isn't RH, it is an amiable guy limited by an NDA ! I am sure Ben would love to be able to brag freely about the new models and is giving as much as he dares without cruelling a nice sponsorship position.

It's this always the case with every updated model of every brand such as the K20D
Like the Canon 10 20 30 40 ,,,incremental up grades at best
Only a altogether "new model" can you really be surprised
And that would fit better with what benjikan says:

You don't need to quote him from another forum.
He has said it right here in this thread (Post #30).

I would not be surprised if the K20D appears to have a... 20 Mpix sensor, as it name implies! K10D = 10 Mpix, K20D = 20 Mpix, it all makes sense now...

There are differences in the interface, raw file storage etc. These are not flagrant but there are differences none the less.
Reskinned interface and PEF support removal are the sole functional differences between the GX-10 and K10D. They are, for all intents and purposes, the same camera.

Samsung has also indicated that the GX-10 was the last camera to be only cosmetically different from the Pentax. So I wouldn't be shocked to see some differences in capabilities here.

Nope, look at the lens. That's not a current Samsung offering as far as I'm aware, it's a 12-24.

Just to be clear, the invitation to the press conference on the 23rd says: come and meet the K10D's successor. I don't think we'll see a "completely new" body. That will hopefully come later.
I for one, am totally satisfied that Pentax is taking two excellent products (K10D and K100D) and is making them even better. I would have been disappointed if that had not been the case.

The K2D or whatever pro model can still come later.

NDA or not: surely the attendees to the meeting in Dubai will be allowed to say things like: "The Pentax K10D successor will crush the competition completely!" or "This camera will give Canon and Nikon a good run for their money!"???

I don't think they are spending so much money for an incremental upgrade: there's something bigger, and Samsung GX20 shares only a little part of this.

Then, the "beast" could have the same old body and very different soul...the improvements really needed are FPS, ISO, noise, getting free from Sony's chains ...not ergonomics!

based on some comments dropped by some of the guys apparently in the know, the k20d will have a built in battery grip.
