Wrong.
The GX10 is almost identical to the K10. The differences are only cosmetic.
I believe Ben meant GX-20 in comparision with the new Pentax, not GX10 vs K10D.

Yes, simply because that when Samsung and Pentax signed the partnership, Pentax had models in the r&d and Samsung did not. It takes 2-3 years to develop a DSLR, it wasn't enough time for Samsung to make their own version so Pentax simply re-labeled their own DSLR's to Samsung.
When Samsung joined Pentax, the K10D design and features was already set. Samsung input on the K10D was only 10% (the DDR-memory comes from Samsung).

The parnership is about co-developing DSLR, so now is the time to release the first co-developed DSLR's. The previous ones were almost all Pentax. Of course many parts will still be the same, just like Fiat and Lancia or Audi and Skoda. But they may differ in features and implementation.

I wouldn't judge the new Pentax by the Samsung GX-20.

Nope, he "compared" the actual lineup (GX10&K10D), and I dont agree with him, the differences between K10D&GX10 are negligible...

The Samsung GX10 does not have all of the advanced features that the Pentax K10D has. Although similar there are some differences that are quite apparent.

Different firmware and PEF support doest not sound like "advanced features" to me...

We will know in a few days... GX20 leaked, K20D didn't... GX10 and K10 are identical... so people are having fun gossiping ;-), nothing wrong with that...

The GX-20 is now removed from the page.
The norwegian distributor has asked a norwegian site akam.no to remove an article based on the page.
Looks like an intended leak to me. Most likely we now know the basic specs of the new Samsung camera.
I wonder if Pentax will do the same.

He wrote GX10, but he might have meant GX20 (the hand does not always writes what the mind thinks, just 10 minutes ago I wrote K10D at dpreview in a message where I actually meant the new Pentax and not the K10D, it is an easy misstake to do). We know that GX10 and K10D are essentially the same. It may be more differencies between GX20 and the new Pentax than between GX10 and K10D. When Samsung and Pentax signed their partnership, the K10D design and features were almost ready so it was too late for Samsung to have significant input on it. The new GX20/Pentax is the first co-developed bodies coming from the partnership, and it may be more things underneath the exterior than first meets the eye...

There are many possibilities. The "leak" may have been intentional, or unintentional, or it may have been a page that was modified by a hacker.

I see a patern here. Same or very similiar thing has happened before.

But, you are correct. There are many posibilities.

My conclusions are speculations.
I enjoy speculating. I think we all do. Otherwice we would not be part of the discusions in this channel of the forum

I believe it was simply a misstake - the human factor.
Kind of reminds me when Pentax Sweden send out a newsmail about the *ist DL some days before the actual announcement.

Yes, it could still be a 12MP APS-C Sony sensor... or a 14,6MP Sony FF sensor right?

(Sorry, could not resist )

I'll just wait until they are released, then I'll know for sure.
