Why do that? Why cut the attitude? I feel it fits right in with all the other useless threads and the ego maniac that we have on here. It feels like a canon forum more each time I visit. That is one of the competitors, so I guess if ya cant beat them, join them.

:-D
Hmmm... I must miss all the ego posts? Sure you don't have the two forums switched?

This place is def the most civil and fun forums on the net (that has to do with Pentax cameras) and the only time I see anything less than interesting is when the negativity runs high or when someone has some steam to blow. Not seeing the ego though... I'll keep looking.

You said they use OIS on all there cameras, they don't period. All the product shots on their website show OPS on the switch and I currently can't remember what the switch says on the bodies I've sold at work so I'll check on Monday.

The GX-10 uses OPS, many of the P&S use ASR and I guess one camera has OIS, but thats not "all".

And if they have OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) on the GX-20 then it would be in a lens not in the camera so why a switch operate it.

I said it was fake you said all their cameras have OIS and I proved it wrong. I mistyped ASR as APS, but thats another point.

And you can cut the attitude cause we don't need it and bringing in someones "mom" is just plain rude and how is it passion, just proving a point. Sorry...

Oh... and you may want to google some of that :ugh:
I didn't know that was a reply to my post too. Anyway, the way you put it sounded very rude. Being affirmative that they DON'T do something when all the recent announcements show the opposite. You sonded like you were hammering down your superior knowledge. The poster said OIS is a Samsung acronym, as of the recent announcements it is (unless the press release is wrong, what I doubt). I find discarding other's words the way you did is very rude, even if not directed at me.

Yes, I was wrong. They use ASR, not OIS on the current cameras, you can see I already knew it when I wrote the reply. I've seen specs for at least three cameras using "OIS", NV24HD, NV30, and NV40 - I think you didn't get the message about google.

The point is, if the new P&S cameras use the term OIS, why couldn't the DSLR? I don't get your point about the system being in the lens. Moving the sensor is also an "optical" feature.

Anyone want's something useful to discuss? My GX-10 is overexposing everything by 1 to 1.5 stops, in all conditions. Something stuck on the metering cells? Bad firmware? Advice welcome.

I'm sorry if I came off as rude, but like I keep telling my GF who feels the need to text me all the time and eventually ask me if I'm mad at her it's hard to know the posters tone when it's written out.

I am still in a good mood but these letter won't show it unfortunately.

Yes you did catch me on the OIS and a few of the new cameras have it, but I just personally find it silly for the DSLR camera to change it... People familiar with the GX-10 might be a little put off with OPS now OIS and next camera OEM. It was just an opinion I had and I still feel that camera has to be a mock-up or just a good photoshop job.

You could be right and I could be right was just stating my opinions which is what the internet was built for

Hope there is no harm done and excuse my enthusiastic and tenacious nature

Oh, and you may want to send your camera in, sounds sick

Well, all this reminds me of the lines of people waiting to buy a PS3 during their launch. All trying to find a reason to argue and fight, while they were all waiting fo the same thing...
I will repeat myself, OIS is an acronym registered by Samsung, long before it was used. Panasonic had to use MEGA OIS because of that. IMHO, the reason for switching from OPS to OIS, is that OPS souns kinda stupid (oops...).
However, I really hope this is a "GX-10 Super", and not K20D's twin.
