As expected, the performance is pretty close to the K-5.

I noticed the K-01 showing improvements at the sensor NR level of things. I'm wondering if this is a result of improvements with Pentax's noise reduction technology or a result of sensor improvements? Either way, I hope its the former so we can expect the same improvements applied in the K-3's upcoming sensor(fingers crossed)

Good to read. Not al a surprise, since the sensor is very good as we all know.

One complain is offcourse not having a viewfinder and being large. Just looked at two others that also lack viewfinder, but are small:
DxOMark - Compare cameras side by side

I prefer a larger camera

I really don't understand their lens testing, particularly the score generated at the end. Klaus on Photozone is a lot more transparent and he likes the Da limiteds just fine.

OK, I was playing with this camera in the shop sort of promotion. Is fantastic but absolutely useless in Australian sun. (like all viewfinder less camera).
You simply can not see LCD display. She has simpler menus layout then my K5 and in my opinion is more user friendly. But not in sunny days...

Should I believe my 70mm Limited is no better than a Canikon kit zoom?

I find it odd that it has a lower bit depth than the K-5? Or did I misunderstand that somehow? Thought they had the same physical sensor.

So why wasn't this sensor up to the k-5 performance? I know it's still a good rating, but the k-5 was definitively better.
