ogl, could you please provide a proper translation (i.e. not by google translate
Already posted in my first post. It's right translation.
I can only add that Pentax-Ricoh has plan to increase annual receipts in 3 times during this year.

Thanks, Ogl. I appreciate your post and I'm sure I will find it interesting when I read it later.

Now, about the photos. Do you have more of that first Pentax spokesmodel? Is that a Russian-standard school uniform? The second model is delightful. Do you have more images of her with Pentax gear?

Gotta have a Pentax connection or it looks like I'm more interested in models (today) than Pentax cameras (later this year or next).
I live in another city and never visited this exhibition. It's information from Russian Penta-Club.

It's not Russian-standard school uniform. As I understand a lot of girls are in Anime and Japanese like clothes.

Seems Pentax-Russia has a very active marketing department (or has greatly improved their marketing efforts). Nice! Hope the rest of the world follows.
Improved. And we can buy or order ALL Pentax gears now. Without any problem.
Even 645D are always in stock.

Best news I've heard since the lens price increase in the US. Cheers! Hope this bodes for a better year ahead.

America is very wierd about Sex. I remember how a lot Rock Bands would have Artisitc Album covers here in the states but over seas they would all have Girls in Bikinis. Even bands like Metallica who came off as being hardcore had album covers with Hot girls and big boobs.

Because in the USA we try to respect women and not objectify them...it's not always successful but it's the right thing to do.

I guess Russia is not one of those places.

If you want to see scantily clad women, go to a strip bar, not a camera show.

Also, if scantily clad members of the opposite sex are required to sell cameras, I'd love to see some beefcake selling me a camera..but then American men would freak and get all weird if a hunky guy was gyrating with a camera in front of them. Go figure.

Russia is way behind (or maybe ahead?) these infamous harassment prosecutions. E.g. if they see painted body art they don't massively and aggressively complain for weeks after that. Just remember Janet Jackson's wardrobe malfunction case and reaction of the soccer moms.

Another country I know does have show girls in photo/electronics show is Taiwan. Maybe Japan as well.

In US we only have show girls in Auto show?

I always liked this shot. It may have something to do with why there aren't so many women doing that kind of thing in the USA.

PS> Before I get flamed.. I know it's sexist and I'm only kidding.

If you seriously believe this, I suggest you look up the term promotional model (a.k.a. "booth babe"), and their extensive use at virtually every US (and world) trade show. You can start by searching "CES booth babes" on Google images.

IMHO, scantily clad woman is equally (not)respected both in a show and in a strip bar. So, first close all those strip bars and whole pornography business in USA and then start to teach other countries how to "respect women"
