If the advertising we see is correct, Pentax will offer both - but it's not clear (yet) which kit will be offered in which markets and at which times. Those are entirely different issues.
I strongly believe this is the case also, but just as the 18-135 kit for the K-5 wasn't released worldwide - I also am inclined to believe the K-30 w/ WR kit won't be sold alongside the non-WR kit everywhere. Can't wait til Monday.

Anyway, I think the other camera is... though I don't see the need for it, a lower model than the K-30; it might have the DA50 f1.8 as an alternative kit.

On the topic of competition and Pixel count

Given the size of a sensor, sometimes a higher pixel count can be a bad thing for dynamic range. If you get too high of a pixel count on a small sensor, the dynamic range will go down and you will have less of the gray scale in a picture. Pixels take up space on a sensor and, yes, the more pixels the higher the resolution but, if you go too large, the pixels become too small to actually represent or sense the detail in the image. So, if the sensor on the D3200 is similar to the sensor on the K30, the 24MP may actually be a bad thing. It does help to sell the camera to an unknowing consumer who is unaware of the difference though. Admittedly, for a time, I thought the more MP, the better but, that's not always true.

This guy explains it far far better than I do:

Dynamic Range: Adorama TV from Adorama Learning Center

Given the specs that have been released (or leaked as it were), I'd rather have the K30. The extras you get from the Pentax make it more appealing even if the pixel count gives it a "better" IQ. The D3200 does not have exposure bracketing and the K30 does. That alone for me is a big deal. Take into account that at least the body is WR and the higher FPS of the shutter and it's no contest.

D3200 has it, D5200 will have it, and next canon will surely have too.

D3200 doesn't have it. It has a stupid appendage waiting to get lost that has it.
That's why I think that the announcement for "another digital camera" will be for built-in wi fi on a K-30 variant. It has to be a relatively easy feature to incorporate, but not everyone will want to pay a premium for it. With production just starting on the K-30, it should also be relatively easy for R/P to assess the demand for a feature like built-in wi fi and adjust their production accordingly. Since it is early in the product life cycle, R/P will waste little on shelved products if a feature like built-in wi fi is demand intensive.

P.S. I think that not everyone will want to pay a premium for a WR lens kit either. They will probably like the fact that the body is WR, and may think that they will purchase WR lenses in the future. But they may be fine with a non WR lens at the initial purchase if the price is right. The K-30 will also probably be sold as body-only. Those that want to buy a WR lens will probably be hit with a slight premium. I am thinking that $50-$80 is about the level of tolerance that most will find acceptable for the typical 18-55 WR. Of course the French get a WR kit lens and a swig of champagne when it comes their way.

yeah that image must be a wide angle from quite close up, making the lens look much bigger than the body, it does look that big on the other images...
