I guess it can be assigned to the RAW/Fx-button or the green button but that is less convenient...
Yes...

I shall be intrested to hear about flash exposure accuracy. They could well have done some much needed work there.

Does it have lens focus adjustment? I can't see any info about it.

Only negative I can think of is the battery life of the smaller Lithium battery, but it takes AAs too, so it's not a huge deal. This isn't a game-changer, but it IS an awesome camera at a good price.

Looks like the position of the exposure compensation button might not be so bad after all, if it's on the second dial automatically when a one-dial mode is selected.

Except that there's an EV compensation button right there on the top next to the green button.

Quite the busy screen - but that certainly makes up for the lack of top LCD.

From the Official Facebook Page (impressive marketing by Pentax as they answer question):

-"Andreas Sundell Will it actually be bundled with a non-WR 18-55 in most regions? Why?"
-"PENTAX Andreas, We will have various configuration of the camera, some with WR lenses, some with standard lenses. The configurations are based on retailer needs."

-"Andrew Tuohy Frames per second in RAW?"
-"PENTAX Andrew, That spec has not been finalized yet. Stay tuned."

-"Elias Randoff Who many frames for videos ? "
-"PENTAX Elias, The K-30 will shoot at 1080p at 30, 25 and 24 fps and at 720p also at 60 fps."

-"Vanessa Thomas Folks What are the differences betwee the K-30 and the K-5? What about it would make me buy a new camera??"
-"PENTAX Vanessa, The K-5 has a magnesium alloy body, the K-30 is polycarbonate (both with aluminum alloy chassis); the video features of the K-30 are more advanced due to the PRIME M engine; RAW files are 14 bit on the K-5, 12 bit on the K-30; the K-5 has HDMI socket and a microphone jack, while the K-30 does not. Also, at $850 for the body only it is a great value."

The K-5 is the better stills camera from the looks of it.

One thing that I don't like the look of on the K-30 is the skinny grip, I love the chunky K-5 grip.

If this is the FIST camera developed under Ricoh managment, I wonder how good priced and lots of features the others to come will have then. Impressive.
I'm very happy for Pentax for have been taken by a company that wanted it to grow. Pentax, the golden eggs goose.

Holy crap, it has both (larger pentaprism viewfinder *and* second dial). Did not see that coming!

I hope the weather sealing will help it be more like the K200D and less like the K-r in terms of shutter/mirror sound.

What an amazingly well-positioned camera - beats the k200D at its own game, still unlike anything anyone else has ever offered.

I think it'd be hard for someone not familiar with the K-5 to be able to easily grasp the difference between the cameras.

The DA WR lens didn't exist at the time of the K10D, K20D or K200D. Short of packing it with a DA* they had no other choice.

The K-7 and K-5 were sold with DA WRs, and if Pentax is marketing the K30 as an affordable WR camera, than it should include WR kits, especially if theyre making marketing claims about "full worry-free weather sealing" on them.
Boy... I hope you don't work for R/P marketing... is it wrong to offer customer more choices?

I am not sure if the k-30 is more skinnier or chunkier than the k-5 grip.. I think it is about the same, may be a little more stylish. This is definitely a trademark of the Pentax DSLR, none of the other camera brands has that so far. Also, I like the revised built-in flash... more stylish and may be even a tad taller than the k-7/k-5 to better improve red-eye reduction.
