-What is main difference between K-5 and K-30?
-The K-5 has a magnesium alloy body, the K-30 is polycarbonate (both with aluminum alloy chassis); the video features of the K-30 are more advanced due to the PRIME M engine; RAW files are 14 bit on the K-5, 12 bit on the K-30; the K-5 has HDMI socket and a microphone jack, while the K-30 does not.
-Is this the replacement for K-r?
-Neil, It is not really a replacement for the K-r since it offers so many higher end features.
-More advanced video features without HDMI socket and microphone jack? Sounds a little bit strange.
-Olaf, I think that depends on your shooting style and how you use the camera.
-This is a bitchin' camera! Such a great set of features!
It says no focus peaking while recording video. Is there focus peaking while using live view and manual focus? And is there focus peaking on the K-01 while recording video?
-Alexander, There is focus peaking up to the point the video recording starts. It is also available in live view mode both when manual focusing as well as auto focus.
- Ok, that's nice to hear
Does this apply for the K-01 as well? (thinking about focus peaking not being active while recording video, this makes me think it is, I see no reason for it to be on one and not the other).
- Alexander, The functionality in the K-01 for focus peaking is the same.
