I guess I don't see it as a new point though. Other camera makers have sold cameras as "sealed" without sealed lenses attached (read: Canon 7D, Nikon D7000) and up until the K7, Pentax sold sealed bodies without any affordable sealed lenses available (the only ones available were the DA * zooms and primes at that point). That didn't stop the K10, K200, and K20 from being big sellers for Pentax and I don't recall any rash of people going swimming with their unsealed kit lens and then complaining that their camera died.
People aren't stupid. Even with a sealed kit lens, you still have to take some precautions.;
