A quote from the German DSLR forum:
translated:
"... 1.) the last K5s arrived from the Far East
2.) As of May, the K5n will be available (with articulated screen)
3.) As of July/summer there will be a K3

...and the big bang:
a truly professional DSLR (K1?) is due in autumn WITHOUT APSC (!)"

below is the original address, hope this is true although the possibility is low.

K30, K5n, K3 and maybe full-frame at Photokina...: Pentax SLR Talk Forum: Digital Photography Review
Here comes the Pentax 4/3rd camera!???!?

What the heck do they mean with "without APS-C"?

How to make an APS-C-less camera:
1. make an APS-C camera
2. extract the APS-C sensor (use force if necessary)

Something like that

Define anytime soon if you mean the next 6 months there will not be one in stores I agree. But I would take a bet on it being in stores by next spring (and previewed before that)

Good Point I just don't expect an announcement this year, though I'd hope for one... whoever wants or thinks he needs FF, should take the corresponding decisions - that's what I am going to do.

Looks to me like simple speculations and nothing more....
is this really news worthy?

You're forgetting 645 format, a new 645D certainly counts as professional DSLR without ASP-C sensor

not forgetting about 645d... I have a 4sale sign already made for my motorcycle in case 645dII has 4k video...

I just am hopeful Pentax will find a supplier of sensors that fit between aps-c and 645d and will release a ff or square format aps-c model.
what can I say? I love letting my imagination run wild when it comes to my camera addiction!

Or replace the Q with a larger sensor model to go up against m43/Nikon VJ/Canon G1X.

I see articulating screens on all models. Updated K-01.

Better AF on DSLR's.

FF as proof-of-concept only, maybe mid-2013 release.

Ne flashes. Tethering.

(and kudos to any company that makes an affordable hotshoe flash that both swivels and rotates with 2 AA batteries, not 4; let's get a "strobist" model out there for the casual shooter).

The DA LTDs (15, 21 etc) and DA* zooms aren't usable on FF; so, if you want to go wide (14/15 cropping to a 22mm FOV) or have a 2.8* zoom, you will need to have the sensor cropped.

FF cameras can crop, BUT, I wouldn't pay extra money for FF if most of my lenses are for cropped. That's just one opinion though...

Possibly just bad translation perhaps.

The Pentax better bring something new to the table for FF's though.

If a K3 full frame is considerably heavier and larger than a K-5/K-5n, and if you have invested a lot in smallish APS-C lenses. If my K-5 dies I would certainly like to replace it with a body of comparable size for travel and street shooting with the DA limiteds, and if the K3 is more of K20D size, or even bigger, that is not the body I want for a large fraction of my shooting. Not saying that I would not want a full frame body as well.

Totally agree. There is a need for a high-end (higher than K-5) APS-C camera. I will get it. Then again I would also get a FF Pentax if it is high-end and not a cheap camera.

If the K30 had the articulating screen ( Pentax's first) then I'm pretty sure we would seen it proudly displayed in that French catalog "moniteur articulé" or "pivotement du moniteur" something like that.
You are perfectly right. "Écran orientable" is specified in the description of Sony Alpha 57, Nikon D5100 and Canon EOS 600D in the Boulanger catalogue (even "écran orientable sur rotule" for the latest).

"Es gibt dazu eine Äußerung, daß sie KEINEN APS-C Sensor hat."

=

[concerning the pro level DSLR] "It is stated that it has NO APS-C sensor" [i.e. its sensor is NOT APS-C].
