If this thing comes out at the predicted $1021.35 USD based on the French picture, compared to the K-5 at $1096.95, I see that as a temporary problem. Granted the K30 is with the DA 18-55 WR and the K-5 is body only.

Blue, the US price is never ever a direct equivalent of the European price.

There is 19.6% VAT included in the French price. VAT/sales taxes excluded, it is equivalent to $849.

After I posted that, I saw Adams estimate of $700 - 800.

Hello Captain Obvious. However, this is the first body released under the new unilateral pricing strategy.

To be fair, there already was a silver WR body released. You just missed your chance.

Twice.

To be fair, there is a difference in silver and white. White handles 95 to 105 F temperatures better than black when outside and on the water. "Black bodies" heat up. That is why some of the big glass (pro level) was white. Plus, those silver editions were Special editions and priced as such.
