I wonder if this will have manual control (zoom and focus) when shooting video?
Yeah it has that lol, look at your lens

It should also have video AF.

Hurray! My Kx just got a lot more useful.. In 2 years, while in movie mode, I never tried to take it off of AF or try to zoom in or out.. I tried to turn the focus ring once when I got it in movie mode and noticed it locked... figured it was all locked. Now I see zoom never was and focus isnt in manual mode.

Learn something new (sometimes embarrasingly) every day.

Spoke to Pentax Denver this morning and the rep. said that their would not be a battery grip option. The K30 is almost identical in dimensions to the K5. So it sounds like a beefy little camera despite the lack of grip. I'm buying it!

After the Q and the K01, this K30 is great news. It doesn't have anything I want over my K-5/K-7 duo, but suggests the higher end models will.

None dedicated, but can be assigned to the green button as it was on the K-r/K-x, most probably..

That will be something to map to the RAW button.
