It will have to have that big space between the rear element and the sensor.
And I thought the "official rumor" is they are discontinuing the Q line?
Actually, given its an aps-c sensor, I fail to see why so many people gripe about the k-mount. Many have said that the downside of the K and F mount (Nikon) is the limit on very fast lenses such as an 85/1.2. However, they are perfect for developing compact lenses with FF coverage. They still allow for some pretty fast lenses (50/1.2, 35/1.4, 85/1.4, 135/1.8 etc). As far as the NEX et al. goes, they maybe thinner, but it isn't like you would be able to pocket them with most prime lenses anyway. Look how panny started reducing the size of the m4/3 body from the GF1 to GF2 to GF3. It won't surprise me if Pentax gets the size down on future K-01 type bodies. However, I don't think Pentax needs another fledgling mount at present. The Q is enough of a risk cup.
