And all of the speculation will be over.

Won't it be great to see if Pentax really has the "Next Big Thing" or if they've simply shot themselves in the foot with nothing more than the K10D in new clothing.

Patiently waiting with checkbook in hand. Much to the dismay of my wife.

I won't upgrade anyway, as my K10D outcompetes my photographic abilities by quantum leaps.

But I bet Pentax actually has the Next Big Thing, in the same way that the K10D was well ahead any competition (at the price) when released. I'm pretty confident they are doing it again (and better) with the K20D.

Whether it is nobler in the gear to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
Or to take arms against some minor deficits,
And by better lenses end them?

No, then the whinging about IQ starts. Wanna bet on how long until somebody underexposes an ultra-high-contrast shot by 6 stops to find pattern noise? Or until RiceHigh determines that a perfectly functional camera can't AF correctly?

Well, I guess it won't feel as long as Vievetrick's wait for the Pats-Giants clash in the Super Bowl.

My bet is around a month after, when other people start posting sample photos. Ben knows how to expose photos, so I'm thinking his won't be the proverbial "proof in the pudding" that the new cameras show horrible IQ.

Will Pentax be announcing just cameras or lenses too? Three DA* lenses were supposed to have been launched already last year, and that didn't happen. At this point, I don't care so much about the camera. I want lenses cause the K10D is more than adequate for me, but the 645 D looks delicious.
