wow, that's what I call fine detail... almost pixel level - just had a closer look and the lines actually have a single pixel height! is that a foveon sensor fixed and improved? O.o

Iso 3200 looks good. Both shots have a kind o C*nonish look, guess that's the price you pay for higher res and sensitivity... don't sell your K100Ds yet!

3200 ISO at What Shutter Speed

The 3200 looks great, but if it was shot at ~ 1/6 at f2.8 - f4.0 than we have a real winner.

I'm looking at low shutter speed and f2.8 to f4.0 for concert stuff.

As we know if this was shot at 1/250 at f 5.6 it does not mean much (at least to me). I'm not complaining just making a statement.

Though it doesn't give any exposure details, my exif viewer reads Canon Powershot A700. I don't know the ISO either, but it points out from steves digicams 2006 test samples.

Which exif viewer are you using? It has to be wrong.
I have checked with Exiftool, which can extract almost anything exif related, and basically there is no exif in the image. So it cannot possibly give you any results on camera make from exif.

Exif Viewer (Firefox plug-in) usually gives that information - you should know that...

PhotoME also won't find any metadata, and the pixel count is wrong (for a Powershoot A700). I doubt they're interpolated, I don't expect that much resolution from a point&shoot.
Mutley, what's your point?

If you have nothing better to do you can look at Mutleys history of posting and you will see where he/she is coming from. He/She is a Pentax brand basher on some vendetta and I think he/she is just looking to stir up a bit of trouble.

Yes, that's what I used. Obviously it may be wrong since it gives no other info in this case.

Here's some more info and pics boys and girls.

The author of the posted ISO 100 and ISO 3200 photos comes out, but being under NDA, can't say much except that the photos were taken using RAW(DNG) and post-processed to JPEGs:

This one's a link to a Spanish Pentax forum that has two resized photos up. The EXIF checks out to be from a K20D. Interesting that sample cameras are being sent out already, which is good since it would probably mean that we only have a shorter time to wait for the cameras to be released. I'll be lurking over that particular thread, maybe some more info comes out.

Well, only a few days more. I'm getting antsy. Hahaha.
