In our culture "pamphlet" is short satire writing on some hot topics. It's literary genre. I was opening this topic expecting some good jokes about Pentax

Probably the same is in Germany?

However Wikipedia says that for English "pamphlet" is: A pamphlet is an unbound booklet (that is, without a hard cover or binding).
I am not an expert in Englis so let native English speakers tell what they think

IMHO "brochure" or "booklet" would be better words for that, less ambiguous.

Since there's nothing on topic to say for a little while yet anyway.

I think pamphlet is the most common word for something like this here in the US, although "brochure" would also be frequently used. Booklet implies something a little more substantial (more pages) and could be bound. A brochure is probably glossy and full of marketing pictures and bright, chipper ad copy -- I think most likely trying to sell a destination of some sort (theme park, vacation area, or maybe a religion). A pamphlet could be anything.

It's interesting to learn the negative connotation in other languages. Here, really, both brochure and pamphlet have the implication, at least to me, of useless marketing junk.

It is nice to see that the K200D will have also a RAW-button and 2 new buttons if you compare it to the K100D.

Translation from someone over at Dpreview.com:

translation・・ below K20D

・New developed 14.6M pixel CMOS provides resolution beyond mid-class.
・Evolution in inner-body SR
・“Custom Image”, valuable image finishing to match images.
・“PRIME” engine provides clear resolution and smooth gradation.

・“Dynamic range extension” avoids white overflow and provides rich gradation.

・“Live view” cooperating with SR.

・Synthetic anti-dust function: DR (prevention, removing) and new “Dust alert”.

・Sealing is safety even in the tough situation.

sorry for poor English

I just translate Japanese to Eng.

I think 'brochure' is better than 'pamphlet'.

but only translation..

there's a small round protrusion on the right side where the K10D has a flat door for the cable release/power/PC connections. Wonder what that is.
PC sync connection.

Brochure and Pamphlet are synonyms in current english usage, Pamphlet is the more common use. Historically the usage you note is correct, but it hasn't been current usage since newspapers became common in the late 19th century.

Odd that it's not behind a door -- is this body not weathersealed? That'd be weird. And where did the other connections go?

PC sync behind a door would be a pain to use. Imagine an open door being in the way while a PC sync cord is attached.
