Oh, its down now? Good thing I still have it open on a tab in my browser. I guess I need to save it off. Although we will have all the information soon, and in English. It is cool to see the pictures though.

Anyone else thinking the K200D is about as good (or better?) than the K10D and the K20D is a step up yet?

I bet the K100D Super stays around even if the K10D doesn't.

On the Japanese brocure floating around, the size of this lens looks significant (note the width of the zoom ring). On the K20 catalog, with lens pics at the bottom, the lens looks almost the same size as the 18-55 (or 50-200). Anyone else notice this?

Not that I read German, but it seems the focusing is the same phase matching as K10D, not the rumored contrast detection. It also mentions SAFOX VIII. What was the K10? I am disappointed that the AD converter is 14 bit, but the file is still 12 bit. I was hoping for the additional color depth offered by the D300 and 40D. Still, seems like a wonderful camera and I am still looking into selling a kidney or something.

K200D won't have weather sealing. There's nothing to indicate that in the leaked brochures.

This is a quote via bablefish from the K200d catalog. it DOES have weather seals.

Now that the German catalogue is out, I hope we will get the English version quickly.

I'm really interested in understanding in details the new features.

BTW I tried to find at the Japan and US Pentax websites for the English versions of the catalogues, by replacing the K10D by K20D in the corresponding web addresses; no luck!.

What was the most striking/interesting, speculated spec IMHO (i.e., the possibility of 720 p H264 video) is clearly not mentioned in the brochure. Therefore we can safely forget about this possibility, now that actually the cat is out of the bag.
