Pentax Germany says that there will be the possibility to save values for up to 20 lenses.
This is in contrast to earlier descriptions that it is not possible to save any values.

This is correct.
There are two settings - "Apply All" offset for all lenses, and "Apply One" for individual lenses; and up to 20 lenses are memorized.

From what I have seen it also looks like this functionality is in the K200D as well.

Anyone know if FF/BF is just an offset for the entire lens' zoom range or do you "calibrate" it at various focal lengths?

I don't think so. There is a misprint in the brochure in the K200D custom menu sections. But you know it is wrong as K200D has only 23 custom functions and the picture showing K20D's 35+ menu at page 6/7.
