I'm a little puzzled at this thread. I find no mention of it in Pentax USA's press releases and it's not on their facebook page either. I guess I'm wondering why wouldn't these events be publicized more widely than here? Anyone have a clue on that?

Edit: Ok, just got an email from Pentax on this. It's real and I'm going.

Yeah, but apparently no stops anywhere south of the S.F., Chicago, NYC latitude. What about D.C.? With all the buzz around this camera, you would think they could make more than 5 or 6 stops promoting it, and could maybe get it placed in more than 1 (if that) retailer in a metropolitan area with more than 5 million people, like D.C.

Went to National Camera Exchange today in Burnsville, MN and saw a huge giant poster the very front when you walk in through the door. It was a K-30 advertisement with the Minneapolis Tour date and information on it. However the funny thing is they did not have a single Pentax for sale there at all... Not even the new K-30... Just Olympus, Sony, Canon, Nikon.

Floyd Fest MP170 on the Blue Ridge Parkway isn't exactly Hartsfield/I-85/I-75. If it's Backpacker doing their "promotion" it may only be the WG-2. If I get up the Parkway into Virginia, I'll report.

You are a Mensch! I hadn't seen that, nor gotten an email. I'm unsure of how excited I ought to be after my many comments about PRIC but I will probably go nonetheless, and just take the risk that they'll find out who I am
