Let take a pause from the heated debate about FPS.... etc.
Here are some new menu items/changes I found for the K20D:
- ISO Display - On/Off
I assume you can now elect ISO to be displayed in all modes at all times in place of the frame counter (as in Sv mode) in view finder and top display panel
- AF Adjust - On Selection, you have two settings you can adjust.
"Apply All" will use the offset for all lenses.
"Apply One" will calibrate individual lens, up to 20 lenses can be memorized.
- Catch-in Focus - Trap focus: trigger shutter when object comes into focus.
Chris has used this in AF-C mode. It will be interesting to see how AF will be affected by this function.
- RAW Button Customization - you have three independent settings for the three initial file format selected.
JPEG -> JPEG / RAW / RAW+
RAW -> JPEG / RAW / RAW+
RAW+ -> JPEG / RAW / RAW+
yes, this means you can set it so that the button does nothing.
This function is enhanced by the fact that the RAW setting is now displayed inside the view finder! No more oops by not paying attention to the top LCD when the settings has been changed. - High ISO Noise Reduction - Off/weakest/weak/strong
Other new menu items:
Dust Alert
Pixel Mapping
File Name
LCD Color Tuning
Preview Method - Optical/Digital/Live View
Dynamic Range in ISO/ Auto ISO settings; adjust up to 200%
There are some small but significant useful changes in the view finder display:
A few icons has been shifted around. SR icon is now on the right. And most notable is the availability of RAW setting display.
There is also a new line under the ISO display similar to Aperture and Shutter Speed display indicating which settings is being manually adjusted.
