Sorry man, but you CAN order it now and be the first to have one in hand! Adam, what is the typical lag time between full ordering info being up at these places and them receiving actual stock? I know there isn't anything set in stone but what's the general lad time?

Yeah. You probably already know this but I am pretty sure that this 50 is a plastic mount without quick shift just like the 35mm f2.4. Not altogether a bad thing - just saying. Probably another budget / economy lens with decent optics. I think the two DAL products (the 18-55 II and the 55-200) are only meant for body bundle sales. Hence the only reason I can think of that the 35 f2.4 and this 50 f1.8 aren't labeled DAL since they can be purchased independently of anything else.

A very attractive price; I will likely get one to replace my A50 1.7, which while I do adore, I don't use nearly enough due to lack of autofocus.
