I'd love to see the first version be the silver-n-black version. Doubt it will happen.

Actually it is discontinued, like the k5 is as well. yep still sold by dealers who have stock.
As for wipes the floor at high iso, yep it does but with 2 ev less DR than a K5

.. what I was asking is WILL THERE be a K-300 at photokina? Price of K-30 kit is down to 750 USD... makes me wonder if they will deflate the price of the K-30 and keep it as a low-end/mid-range 'brunch' model...

I want to see a competitive autofocus system for Pentax...
I know, it's not that slow, but it does prevent people that use, say, a 7D to switch to Pentax.
Let's give them one more year to fully develop the fullframe.
