Yep, played 5 minutes with a K-30 and the AF was way more nervous than my K-5.
Very interesting, the review on here was done with a days shooting comparison between the K-5 and the K-30 and the conclusion was:

"Autofocus performance was extremely impressive to us. While it fares little better than the K-5 in extreme lighting conditions, in everyday use the new SAFOX IXi+ system is a knockout. The focusing action has a real confidence and decisiveness in use that inspires a similar feeling in the user, and the real-world results can't be argued with."

I've only got the K-30, no K-5 to compare with but I've not had issues with hunting or nervousness compared to previous cameras (K100DS & K20D) and a definite speed improvement for focus lock.

Maybe a longer play around would've changed your opinion, who knows

Misbehave,
your k-30 looks really hot in your picture with your WR 135 lens. Cool shot!

The k-30 is an amazing camera and deserves all its positive reviews. I hope the jump from the k-5 to k-3 will be as big as the k-r to k-30 jump!
I heard that!

It was Pop Photo's review that convinced me to get the K30 over a second K5. I'm also going to grab the WR 18-135 lens and a few other Pentax Primes.

To be honest, years back, I had trouble finding decent lenses, so I abandoned Pentax, but hung onto my K-1000 and my original ist*D ..

After shooting with the K5, and the K-01, I'm officially in love with Pentax again.

As some of the owners in this thread have testified, the K-30 actually has better high ISO performance than the K-5 or K-r, not worse! Here's a well controlled test that was published today. It wins in RAW, and I think it wins in JPG at most ISOs too:
