If I'm honest, that's a pretty hideous camera.

It looks cheap, really cheap.

Why? It looks 100% the real deal to me, although I find it strange that it looks so much like a K-5 clone

Have you SEEN the X90 this thing will be replacing? I think it looks fine. Also it sort of suggests Pentax will remain with the K-5/7 aesthetic for the APS-C DSLRs for a while yet, which is a good thing in my books.

If that's your definition of "bad" then I can't even imagine what your idea of "good" is...

It looks real, and assuming it is real... the fact they've put an articulated screen on a bridge camera is quite interesting to say the least.

So cynical.

If it is a fake(which clearly it isn't) then I would say it is extremely well done.

The design is distinctly K-5 inspired, but obvious from the unique lens and rear design that it is not just a photoshop job.

I like it.

i actually think it looks good. is this something i would buy for my usage? no. if pentax does come out with a new travel friendly P&S i might buy one to replace my lx3. sometimes, i just dont want to bring my dslr. so a nice p&s would still be awesome.

Looks very good for a X90 replacement. I like how it design was inspired by the K5 and K30. The tilt screen looks like a nice addition. Now could it have the specs and user ability to compete against the high-end p&s cameras like the Canon G series?

This will have a small P&S type sensor right? Looks good. I really don't see where the comments that it looks "cheap" or that its a "badly done fake" are coming from. Clearly this isn't meant to replace DSLR's and i t looks good for what it is.

If it has a 1/2.33" sensor, it would have a 22-580mm equivalent zoom. But with an even smaller 1/2.7" sensor, it'd be 26-676, just like the X90. So, the latter seems incredibly likely.

That's a very big body for a very small sensor
