What is this "rear converter for sdm"?
Is this a sdm motor for non sdm lenses?
I would simply dtake it to mean what it says--- a rear converter that works with SDM.
if you take any of the converters that have been around and stick an SDM lens on them
(on a K10 where the SDM is active), the AF becomes very baffled. (goes berzerk)
on edit: the pentax ones don't do AF at all, and dthe 3rd party one throw up as noted because they want to turn the cam which isn't how you focus an SDM lens.
what is needed is a converter that intelligently works with SDM and preserves the SDM functions.---and that seems to be what is promised. If Pentax is really clever they will produce in in such a way that it does AF for non-SDM lenses as well, and has enough brains in it to tell the camera what it has done to the focal length of the lens, so the Shake reduction isn't baffled as well, and the focal length is recorded correctly in the photo data section.
