Well, maybe it's actually *five* new products being introduced on the 9th, so you might turn a little red, then blue, then white, then a ghastly greenish-grey by then.

It is 11AM, 9/5/2012, here in California. Guess I'll take another deep breath.

To say honest...a lot of new products, but nothing any special...Maybe, it's good. But...It's not very interesting for me.

so the 10th then ?

I know Sunday is a poor day to do it but it would have been ideal for 9 items (9 on 9/9) they could just have leaked big Pentax 999 graphics

Of course you can bring up the shadows very nicely in PP so it's not quite as scary as once thought.

How about

"Double, double toil and trouble,
Cauldron boil and cauldron bubble ...."

Or better yet, to paraphrase myself:
"Though this be madness, yet there is method in 't."

Sooo, whens the next scheduled date for the apocalypse? I think I'll just wait for Photokina to hear what new crap I can't afford.

Unless the K-3 sports some major feature revisions, I find it quite drab. A K-5n sounds more interesting if it's priced right and is updated with some of the K-30 features. A K-300 announcement would be OK, but again - nothing exciting. A 645D2 would be good, but how many users does that actually affect? I'm pretty sure only a small margin of APS-C users consider move to MF. I would guess an order of magnitude more leave Pentax for FF Canikonsony. Seems a large gap for me. In my opinion, with the expected massive coverage of the D600 release later this month, the only truly exciting news will come from either 35mm, mirrorless, or new sensor technology (like invisage, foveon, etc, which I highly doubt).

I'm hoping for a mock FF under glass. If they at least admit they are working towards FF, it will go a long way. Just my 2c, I know opinions vary wildly.

after reading all the expectation pages, my desire to see a Pentax FF has whittled down somewhat. I'd like to see one just because; but I'm not buying because I don't need it - yet. If the D600 comes out and gets all the press, it's Pentax's problem, not mine... or any photographer's. As the person behind the camera, it'll be better off thinking what I can do with the current system I have now and just wait for the great grand bad boy from Pentax to finally step into the light.

and hopefully it won't be too late for the company.
