Many many more new people will buy K-30, K-300, even K-01 and Q those will upgrade to other bodies and lenses creating new customers for pentax. It is the entry models that make all the money anyways

When Pentax does release a FF all the whiners that left will come back for their limiteds and the same reasons that drew them to pentax to begin with, and if not, the forums will be that more much pleasant without all of the moaning
I'd get so terribly bored without the moaning though

...
Mark who?

I honestly don't mind the styling of the K-01, from a purely aesthetic point of view, i.e. ignoring functional issues such as the lack of a viewfinder.

But I do mind the way Pentax slings that name Mark Newton or whatever around. It's in my face all the time. Each and every advertisement, preview, review, display stand in stores, the works. Seems to me that every reviewer has been contractually obliged to promote that clown ahead of the damn camera itself.

Irrespective of its flaws, I am quite interested in the K-01. But I have no interest, not one iota, in the gomer whose signature is stamped on its baseplate.

That's the most likely thing on the list to actually be true.

I think make better version of SDM lens is more important.
I find many people do not willing to buy any SDM lens
That is an issue for Pentax.

Like me and even my local shop recommended me away from SDM lenses. That was pretty damning, since they deal primarily in Pentax, including their rentals.

On the German forums, they're not as nice as they are on the english-speaking side of the world. People are still shelling out for their fourth repairs, even after those few people claimed there were new, redesigned parts going into the lenses (without any proof, actually).

250-300 Euros a repair, where only parts are being thrown at the lenses and flaws not being fixed are not of any interest to me.

I have glass money but SDM means that purchases are on hold. Probably my biggest gripe.

Extremely damning considering the * Lenses are supposedly their "Pro" line.

Perhaps I'm just not dreaming enough... but it seems any 16-85 will be some combination of slow/large/expensive/heavy/bad.
