I gotta be honest, the Q10 or Q are what I hoped the K-01 would look like when I heard its look described as "inspired" by the older cameras. I really like the looks of both models of Q, but I had a similar reaction to the K-01. The more I looked at it the more normal it started looking. Although, that's probably when I finally started seeing photos that included K-01s that weren't that garish yellow. Frankly, I'm still not sure why they elected to go with the K-01 ugly edition for the release.

This has muddled my decision - for a change, we might be spoilt for choice: small, fun, colorful Q-10 with (we hope) killer 15-45 2.8 or K-5II (or whatever it's called).

The Q-10 info is intriguing and the K-5II will likely sell at less that I expected. I was skeptical about photokina so I invested in a second K-5 cheap for two shooting opportunities that, in fact, didn't turn out to be what I expected. I wish I had my USD $1K back but my first has to go for repair anyway - bad top LCD. Maybe it will work out ...

I agree with some of the other posters, the more I look at it the more I like it. I want the silver and black one!

No focus peaking no buy, the auto focus works fine for my purposes even though they do say improved auto focus, will be a plus for some. They do say improved battery life, but how improved? The batteries are so small I can easily keep enough to shoot for two days straight in one pocket without knowing they are there... I wonder if the alloy body is gone to keep it cheaper... Well, I like the route they are going with the Q and I wont be buying into this one and will be waiting on the next version of the Q and will still enjoy the Q I have...

No mention of focus peaking... keeping my fingers crossed (though even if not included, other specs might be enough to upgrade.)

Would definitely be interested in that silver with brown leatherette option (K1000 SE style) if available in the US... especially with the lenses already being silver.
