I do not understand; what about Sony Alpha 65, Alpha 77 and NEX-7 that use this sensor?

I remember is that Nikon and Pentax always uses the new sony sensor a year late. Maybe Pentax is following Sony. A77(K-3) High end; A65(K-5II) and A35(K-30). Also, Sony will release first its FF Camera with new sensor then the other two will follow later. If i choose to a FF camera i would choose to release it by itself. Maybe 1st quarter of 2013 will see the FF.

Put my K-5 to sell...Want K-5IIs with EV-3 and with no АА filter.

It's unique for modern DSLR...EV -3. LX had -6.5. BUT it's huge leap, if it's true...

Nikon will get you to 36 Mpixels of real resolution and great dynamic range for $9k - $11k. That kit amount includes zooms @ 14-24, 24-70, and 70-200 f/2.8 and primes @ 35 and 85 f/1.4. All of the lenses not only have great optics, but also weather sealing and great build and handling quality.
What if you don't have $9k to $11k? What if you don't have the computing hardware to process the immense 36 MP files? What if you don't really need 36 MP? What if you're more interested in photography than gear? What if you don't enjoy carrying around a large, heavy FF camera and large, heavy lenses? What if you're satisfied with the gear you have now?

The high-end Nikon stuff is very impressive; but it's far too expensive for most photographers. Nor does it meet the needs of every photographer that could afford a kit like that.

If I could sell very large prints at premium prices, I would give the Nikon D800E a serious look. But it's very hard to sell large prints and premium prices; so it's hardly a camera that fills a widespread pressing need.

Buy a small FF camera and small, light lenses?

Still working with my silver K200D...I consider upgrading to the K-30 for one great function: focus peaking...but with the announcement of a new K-5..I wonder if it will come with this useful feature ?

Keep K200D. It's true CCD with weak AA filter - unique camera. To sell K200D is no any sense and any serious money. Wait and buy K-5IIs.

Is removing an AA filter on a sensor that's only 16mp a good idea?

Judging by the samples it seems as though the 24MP benefits the most from this.

which is why I am find this rumour to be a bit odd. Would Pentax really produce an AA-less K5 if they were going to also be offering an AA-less 24mp K-3?

So where does this rumour put the rumoured K-3?

-SAFOX X to K-5 is a new unit of AF is employed. In the high-precision AF unit corresponding to F2.8, corresponding to low luminance-3EV.
-The liquid crystal of the K-5 II is a gapless LCD with good visibility strongly air is employed to scratches.
-There is a total of 97 colors order 5 grip colors, 20 colors in the body to Q10.

It is the information from the person who can be trusted. As rumors of PENTAX FORUMS, the K-5 II is a new AF unit SAFOX X corresponding to the lower luminance You seem to be adopted.

Then, as a reader recently, seen the image has been pointed out, you are like those of the structural change in the LCD monitor is difficult to get into garbage. I'm looking forward to what extent the new AF unit or how they have changed.
It looks like we'll have:
  • One or more f/2.8 high precision points in a new SAFOX X AF engine,
  • AF (and presumably metering) low-light sensitivity to EV -3, and
  • a gapless LCD screen for greater clarity in bright light by eliminating the air-glass interface between the glass LCD cover and the display itself.
I've never heard of EV -3 sensitivity before—the EOS-1D X and D4 have AF systems sensitive to EV -2. The introduction of an f/2.8 high precision point is certainly welcome, but we still don't know how many points the AF system will have. I suspect it will still be 11 points, but this isn't clear at this point.
