It is the information from people you trust. The appearance of the K-5 II, it is almost the same except for the K-5 logo. Spec is unknown at the moment, what the low-pass-less version of K-5 II is K-5 IIs?

It seems slightly cheaper price than the opening price of the K-5. In addition, three of the top in the K-5 II, the image on the back of the image with the top surface of the (K-5 IIs the bottom one is the K-5 IIs are exactly the same, so omit K-5 II was).

Unsurprisingly looks exactly like a K-5... even the top-view image displays the same things on the LCD display as the K-5 product photos... heh.

TBH. I've grown to love the size and handling of the K-5 and so I guess I'm not surprised. Though I will be very curious to see what differences will exist between the K-5II and IIs myself.

So, are the pics any different from a K-5 except for the white paint that says II and IIs? I think the key would be if the lens release button is different. We know the current design is defective, although I'm not sure if the fix for it requires a redesign that would be visual or just bettter parts.

K5 IIs is probably a aa-filterless version.

I rather wonder what the K5-to-K5 II differences are.

I hope they relocate the K-5's green button to where it is on the K-30, K-x and K200D. Always been a gripe of mine with the K-5.

I'm going to guess:
  • New AF
  • New prime engine
  • Slightly faster FPS
  • Larger image buffer
  • Expanded shooting modes(1.5, 3, 5, 8 FPS)
  • Improved video controls
  • Focus peeking
  • Quick magnification
  • UI redesign
Amongst other things, address various design weaknesses; lens release mechanism, adhesion, circuit design etc.

Do you really want Pentax to stop producing APS-C cameras?

K-5 II. Really ? That's a lame name even by Pentax standards !!! ;-)

And wisn't the K-5 update supposed to sport a tiltable screen ?

Two versions? Would that be true? I know Pentax did something similar with the K100D and the K110D, where the latter didn't have SR, though I'm sure both versions here *will* have SR. The K110D lacked a feature and hence was cheaper, but how would that work with two versions having or not having a AA filter? Somehow I suspect this may not be as correct as the Q10 leak?

Yes, except that you have to tilt the entire camera instead.
The good news is however that is can be tilted to any angle. So its much more versatile than those hinged versions.
