interesting... could be a neat toy for the bag. a lens class I've always wanted to try, but fear it could end up like my macro... collecting dust.

Hmmm very very intresting news here. This lens have ideal FL 24mm for landscapes (but in focus distance scale there is nothing between 1m to infinity and that is not good), for some buildings 24mm may be too long in crop body but maybe can do panorama. I hope weight not too much to carry around. Been missing something like this in 24mm. Da 21 will be replaced by this on my wishlist...
I agree...ive always wanted a T/S lens for buildings, but I think this is just too long for that for a crop sensor camera Now IF pentax releases a FF, this lens would be the business!

"New Samyang T-S 24mm 1:3.5 ED AS UMC is a wide-angle, full-frame lens"

Now why would Samyang make a K mount version of a full-frame lens?
all samyang lenses except the 8mm fisheye are fullframe lenses and you can find it all for k-mount

Sorry, but it's not the first TS lens since the 70's.
In France, they are 2 Schneider-Kreuznack TS lenses available for the K mount, they are very expensive (about 3 500€), but they exist :
Schneider PC-TS 50mm f/2.8 Pentax
Schneider PC-TS 90mm f/4.5 Pentax

For me this sounds really good news. I have been lusting after TS- lens for couple years. And they are one expencive chunks of glass...but if this will be affordable and is good in tests, then I have to save some money for this!

True, and there's offerings from Arsat and Hartblei as well. But neither offer anything as wide as 24mm.

i suspect the Schneider to be made for MF format and have been adapted to K mount "just in case" it can be sold as is.

This is a very exciting lens.

Samyang's 14mm f/2.8 (after the distortion correction....), 24mm f1/.4 and 35mm f/1.4 primes have already proven to be excellent wide angle primes at a sensational price point for those that don't have deep pockets for the Canikon equivalent. The Canon 24mm TS-E II is a sensational lens, probably one of the best 24mm lenses out there but it's hugely expensive at 1600. If Samyang's T&S 24mm gets close to it's rivals at a sub 1000 price point it'll be a huge hit across all systems.

No, the two lenses described above are dedicated 24x36 tilt & shift lenses.

I hope they come out with an E mount version for the new FF Pro NEX. A 24mm FF lens on a 1.5x crop camera is a waste.

Excellent news. It's one thing that has been obviously missing from the line-up: an affordable and wider T/S lens for Pentax.

As for it being a FF... well, the glass has to be significantly bigger than the image circle for T/S to work. So really it's not such a big deal if it covers FF or slightly more. These lenses must be oversized by their very nature. If Samyang can leverage their investment by slapping on a K-mount we should be happy.

If the reviews are good and the price is reasonable, I will probably be adding it to next year's shopping list.

I'm missing reports from Samyang at Photokina. Are they showing their new products? Perhaps the forum members currently at Photokina can have a look? I will too, but I'll be happy to already see sth of the stand prior to my own visit on Sunday...
