Dust proof and drip proof, with 29 seals. But not WR? I assume the drop-in filter makes that impossible?
It's better than WR, it's AW (All Weather), equivalent to DA* in this respect.
- DA* lenses are said to have a "
weather-resistant and dust-resistant construction to enhance durability for use in rain or dusty conditions"
- AW lenses are said to have a "
dustproof, weather-resistant construction effectively preventing the intrusion of dust and water to the lens interior"
- WR lenses are said to "
feature a simplified weather-resistant construction designed to minimize the intrusion of water and moisture into the lens barrel" (please note the "simplified" and the absence of reference to dust).
