if it would work, and I cannot see why not, it would be limited to f. 2.8 because these new lenses do not sport the aperture ring...

If the rumors about Sony hoarding sensors for its own launch (their A99 and their DXT1 which is an interest almost pocket sized FF P&S) and Nikon's D600, that's easily understandable. Pentax is odd man out because of their comparatively low volume.
But of the A99/DXT1/D600 rumors really are true (and they're too noisy to be false by now), it also means Pentax really doesn't have much of a choice w/ FF because the other makers are essentially putting FF in Pentax's targeted price point $1500ish in the market. Given the choice of D600 vs. K5II at the same price point, I suspect most people will take the D600 (me included...sorry)..

Full compatibility in terms of exposure and manual aperture of the D-FA serie with 645NII, thanks to SLR's internal control buttons.
But i don't see stabilization working, same as AF.

A decent spec FF between, the price of a d600 and the d800 with say a 24mp sensor would be the goods- there is still hope yet - This Photokina really looks like the year of the FF release-eg Sony/Canon/Nokia all with big FF models, Pentax needs SOMETHING to be hinted at- there have been rumours of the A99 and d600 for a while combined with the huge success of the d800 its not like this hasn't been seen coming- Arguably since the Sony A850 has there been a lower cost FF trend and that was several years ago.

The Sony FF camera is rumored at $2800. It will be another flop.

My guess is he means that at that date the D600 and it's price will be revealed...
The "even for Pentax" bit probably suggests we won't see a Pentax FF announcement tomorrow., the 13th.

The D600 will be announced, according to many rumors. Some people have it pegged at as low as $1500. My current thought is $2300 though I've waffled from $1800 to $2500.

Nikonrumors is talking about ~$2700, which I find believable.

$2700 is way too close to the D800 price of $3k. If it was a canon I'd agree with you... but Nikon, lately, has a habit of charging less than they could, apparently to gain market share.

Well, that was actually a yen-usd conversion (210.000 yen). The actual U.S. price should be lower, I'd guess around $2500?
