Originally posted by Cannikin 2 years of R&D (a full 50% longer than their previous 16 month flagship release cycle, 8 months extra to handle the Ricoh transition), and what we get is a tweaked AF module (same old 11 points) shoehorned into a K-5, with no other practical changes.
Yeah - it seems either a
lot of R&D work got tossed, or there's something more to be announced.
Still - for someone who already is invested in K-mount glass, better AF and no AA filter might make having a K-5 IIs worthwhile, to complement the original K-5.
Although to be honest, this kind of slow release of new features is making Nikon FF look good right now. If only the damned lenses weren't so expensive!
