I'll post more after the break (the break is Leica's VIP event tonight).

From Pentax, there are the nice announcements we have heard about (K-5II, K-5IIs, Q10, 560/5.6 etc. They confined to me:

- no K-3 (at Photokina)
- no Full frame on the roadmap as far as Germany is aware of
- no 645D-II (at Photokina)

The K-5II will ship in time for the Xmas season.

And now that I've read it:

Any impressions on the DA 560? No samples shots provided? Cute that it was attached to the Q10!

The D600 having a shutter that sounds closer to the D7000 vs the D800 - I didn't know that the D800 had a loud shutter. Good to know. The D7000 isn't really that silent though

Wait - I thought the RX1 was a fixed lens camera?

Looking at announcements from other brands, we have nothing really exciting.

Not even a prototype unveiling? Ouch.

How would you gauge the level of general interest and attendance at the Pentax booth vs. any other brand?

Can you take a pic with the K5II with CA and Lens Corrections set to ON and see if there is still a long delay in processing before playback? Thanks again Falk.

What a let down... Pentax is surely doomed as the competition surges ahead. This time it's for real.

Well I didn't expect the first two this time, maybe some announcement.

When I saw Hasselblad coming with their new camera and futuring the old sensors, then a new 645D was not to be expected. Maybe sometime next year the 50mp version, but that won't be cheap. So limited customer demand for that.

Pffff, nothing, no prototype, not even an announcement, a word of commitment...

Just a rebadged K5, a tiny Q10 that noone takes serious and two lenses that I have no use for...?

These Leica hustle and bustle sounds interesting, though probably to expensive anyway.

Not very bright outlook for Pentax, bunch of repackaged old products while overyone else is moving full steam ahead.
