a few schneider kreuznach lenses for pentax K

Photokina 2012: Novelties from Jos. Schneider Optische Werke GmbH

*Two Xenons
*Makro-Symmar
*Super-Angulon

Macro lens Makro-Symmar 85mm f/2.4
Wide-angle lens PC-TS Super-Angulon 28mm f/4.5 HM Aspheric
Wide-angle lens Xenon 35mm f/1.4
Universal lens Xenon 50mm f/1.4

With these four newly recalculated lenses Schneider-Kreuznach meets ever increasing demands resulting from a continuous decrease in pixel size. They have been optimized for maximum performance for the latest sensor sizes and feature outstanding imaging performance.

All lenses are available with bayonet mounts for Canon EOS, Nikon-F, Sony Alpha and Pentax-K.

A new tilt-shift lens is also among the new products: The 28/4.5 Super-Angulon Aspheric is a wide-angle lens especially designed for architectural photography.

The new Tilt-Shift lenses at a glance:

Lateral shift: 12 mm
Tilt angle: 8 degrees
Tilt vs. shift: 360 degrees
Detent: every 30 degrees
Tripod connection: 360 degrees, detent every 90 degrees

Huh - interesting. Nice to see that these are coming out for Pentax as well.

28 F4.5 Tilt shift - whoah...
85 F2.5 macro - Be interesting to see how well this compares with the Tamron 90 and the Sigma 105
35 F1.4 - huh.. this is pretty nice
50 F1.4 - Wonder what this one is priced at

The Makro-Symmar brochure mentions "adapters,"
so these might be T-mount lenses, like their shift and tilt-shift lenses.

I am looking forward to a review of the Xenon 35mm f/1.4, a type of lens still missing in my line-up.

Hm, doesn't this brand tend to be fairly expensive?
But these lenses do sound interesting. 35mm f1.4 sounds great, the 85mm macro and portrait lens also sounds interesting.

The brochure of the 85 macro says "adapters" - so that one is likely manual focus.

The Xenons may be AF like the other Xenons available for Pentax.

Be careful not to confuse these genuine Schneider-Kreuznach lenses
with the badge-engineered Pentax lenses sold under that name by Samsung.

These "real" Xenons will probably be manual focus T-mount adapted as well.
That's about the only way the K-mount has a chance of being represented in this elite company!

Almost certainly.

The press release explicitly mentions autofocus for the MFT lenses,
but not for the DSLR lenses.

I've never seen one of these, but the specs for the current K-Mount Super Angulons say nothing about adapters and the mount is listed as a K-mount.

See Schneider 28mm f/2.8 PC Super-Angulon Manual Focus 06-039789NO

"This version does not come with a lens mount. Optional mounts are available for all popular 35mm camera systems. By simply fitting different lens mounts on the lens, it can be adapted for different camera systems."
