Yeah I thought so too. To me it looks kind of a pervy little nook

I guess it's the -3 EV performance of the new AF they want to show off though. All very innocent.
Then you wonder why they don't let you take pictures out of the camera... maybe it's the happy ending~

There is colour moire in some of the rooftops in image 6 - eg, the roofs below the carpark on the laft - but nothing too distressing. Just a slight digital sheen, I guess you'd call it.

That's what I thought I saw too. If that's the worst we can expect, it's just a matter of freeing up the money for the upgrade... Though I'll first finish the year with my K-5.

It is very subtle.

I thought I saw some on the roof tiles on the far right as well. The front roofing lacks it, the rear roofing seems a bit reddish. But on closer examination I think it is just a difference of the light, or some discoloration of the roof itself.

I'd be very interested in seeing the RAW of this.

Good catch; I hadn't noticed when I first looked.

There is also false color in the window frames of that octogon structure at the right end of the hotel, as shown here:

Man, those examples are really nice! Even that color moire at roof top is like that, I think it is pretty amazing. let's see when this comes out. Sharpness of that goat with DA*60-250 is almost scary!

But no downloadable image samples on dcwatch. Sounds like Pentax was prohibiting attendees taking image samples of their own, as the dcwatch report says 'Can not take out of the captured image'.

Next session is Oct 7 in Tokyo.
I went to the K-7 event years ago and you could try a K-7 but couldn't pop in a memory card.

It is a sample of the official!!

K-5II / K-5IIs?PENTAX RICOH IMAGING
While trying to compare the output of the 2 new bodies, so to speak, with the mountain sample at 100%, the IIs frame was littered with typical black spots I assumed were fine dust but also a dozen white spots like I have never seen before all the way to the top edge. Once I convinced myself they were not snowballs, I sure hope are not some kind of hot pixel problem to discover down the road. Just saying....Hopefully someone smarter than I has already noticed and has a more acceptable cause in mind. I am hopping for white doves of peace maybe. The non-"s" pic had no spots in the sky.

I'd be curious to also see comparisons where the moire patterns are problematic for the K5 IIs

The sample images didn't really do anything for me. Out door phoots that we expect wouldn't have patterens in the first place. Meh ok photos but it seems Pentax specifically didn't want people comparing photos of the same subject and settings with the 2 different cameras. Still waiting for any actual comparative shots. Also shots of just random people wearing cloths with patterns and see how bad a casual picture can make the moire pattern show.
