I personally assume an entry model should be coming in addition to K-30 & K-5II(s).
This time he mentioned "feels" instead of leaking abstract fact.

It shocks me that there are no decently priced scanners for home usage.
Agreed, I do want affordable scanner. V700 is too pricey and even then, it's not good enough for 24x36.

Why on Earth you must believe someone's error in translation, in understanding, or simply, lack of common sense?

Because Pentax's communication is so poor, intentionally or not, that it's tragically all we have.

A front-line rep inside Pentax JP just posted on the other forum that he feels pretty sure that no more new K-mount cameras for a year.
Can we have a link please ?

I have no clue what he's saying; but, I will panic anyway
Hmm... you know Japanese, so it shouldn't be a translation error, e.g. "for a year" instead of "for this year". Then, he's wrong - probably

It all actually DOES make sense somehow. Developing the FF body takes up R&D. Developing the required extra FF lenses requires even more R&D. So, this was planned far into the future. (A year?) Meanwhile, Pentax figures: "But we've got to give them something?!?" Presto: the K5 was recycled.

But I agree: Lets panic. Panicing never hurted anyone.

How I whish I could do the whole photograpy gear acquiring thing all over again.

Uhh... if we're talking about not launching a new DSLR until October 2013, it does not make sense. Launching a "full frame" camera doesn't imply killing everything else, right?

Should I change my sig to "When you're worried and in doubt, run in circles, scream and shout"?

Can't agree more. This is a very good strategy if the intention is to go "belly up". That's why I'm having a hard time believing/accepting this rumor.

Depends on how big their R&D department and production capacity is. If they're really having to halt everything else for the developement of an FF-line then I'm starting an angry mob; all FF-winers better hide.

But again, I seriously doubt the Pentax production capacity is THAT small. Then again... If Hoya destroyed the R&D department, who says they didn't do the same with the production lines? "Hey those silly camera producing lines could just as well be producing profitable medical devices."

This is hillarious! Does it help? I about to try it. Because I just did a calculation of what I could have bought with the money I spent on Pentax: 5 (new) CZ M-mount primes and a NEX.

The Google translation of this contains the words "I think" and "probably". Too little for me to go to panic mode.

I have no reason to believe that rumours about a K-3 (24MP APS-C sensor) release in March 2013 are not based on real information.
