I admire the efforts people are showing in trying to translate this but to me, it is still
like reading a half-decoded rant from an alien ship's occupant.

I am looking forward to more details about this .... seems like some secrets are hiding in the original text.

Good luck guys! And thanks again for the efforts!

I have to read it in short sections or I'll be rolling on the floor due to a serious headache, but it was fun (and frustrating) to find a way to translate.

Someone in that original forum said the article mentioned something like "Mirrorless 645 format technology is more needed than 135 format".
Just getting more confusing... LOL

There are sections in there that seem to indicate consideration of a new lens mount for some form of future camera - mirrorless dSLR or mirrorless medium format. I read the whole machine translation (thanks, it crashed my system) and all I can say is - clear as mud.

A mirrorless 645D would make sense. That huge mirror slows things down, introduces the potential for blur, and makes the camera much bigger than it needs to be

I'm going to try to get my friend to translate this properly tomorrow if we don't get any Japanese-speakers to chime in.

I appreciate the efforts at translating. Quite funny.

Doesn't clear up anything though. It's all so . . . poetic.

Dunno, with Google translation the original text could potentially say "pizza" and not "mount" as far as I'm concerned.

It makes sense

Pentax is developing a camera that you can mount a pizza to, great for us nature photographers that get hungry when we are 2 hours from the nearest restaurant.

This is an accurate translation, except it's not a question. "Pentax, next year, will put out a full size (model)." I'm learning Japanese, but am not fluent.

There was a question mark after the line in Japanese, which I failed to copy/paste... Sorry
