Good catch. That should of course read "mangapixels" -- it's a special edition targetted at the Japanese youth market.
Lol. But you're too kind.

Press Releases need to be triple-checked by at least 5 highly-profecient native speakers.

Mis-spelling MEGAPIXEL, as a camera company, when writing about your flagship product, is just insanely STUPID.

It would be funny if it weren't so dumb.

Unfortunately it reveals (confirms) that Pentax USA is mismanaged and inept.

Ricoh, I'll proof your Press Releases for free. This is an embarrassment.

Already done: http://dc.watch.impress.co.jp/docs/news/20121221_579911.html

On a more serious note, I'm not surprised that Petnax talks about mengapixels.

Claims of "mismanagement" and "ineptness" on the basis of spelling mistakes
carry more weight when they don't contain their own spelling mistakes.

I like how they released a completely new camera which almost has no real improvement. Why didn't the K5 have that AF in the first place? Instead they release the K5 again with nothing else changed for such a high price. The 7D II is rumoured to come soon, I wouldn't be surprised if it kicked its ass.

K-30 available in 18 colours outside of Japan? I would like to see these. Only black and blue are available anywhere I've seen here in AU.

Because the technology wasn't there yet in 2010.

I would also not be surprised if an upcoming K-3 will kick the 7D-II's rear, or at least go head-to-head against it.

There's still CP+ in Japan, and there's also the possibility of release in later seasons. I don't think they'll wait until the next Photokina to bring out a "real" K-5 replacement (in terms of technology, or else, they'll be further down the sales ladder by that time)

Given that Photokina won't happen for another almost two years, I think they should be considering two real replacements for their flagship camera by then.

Most publishers for (translated) novels don't even do that. Not necessary. It's the image that counts.

They need to be checked by a professional proofreader. There's a special skill involved, beyond that of proficiency in spelling, grammar, and syntax.

But I agree that some errors are so egregious that 99% of the educated populace would spot them immediately. That kind of error sends a message: that quality in formal written communication is not important. It always makes me wonder if that unconcern for quality is found elsewhere in an organization. I'm betting it is ....
