It's got a metal hotshoe mount. Cheers for Pentax.

Tilts and rotates! Hopefully it also has a more robust battery door than the original 360...

looks like it might have wireless with the IR plate up front. May be through the mode button instead of a switch. Either way I'm liking what I see so far...

The IR might be on the back covered up by the LCD screen or whatever the screen is made out of. There's no way this flash will not have wireless

looks interesting, like Pentax has been paying attention to Nikon flash units.I hope it has some degree of weather resistance, though perhaps pentax could be saving that kind of functionality for the replacement of the AF540FGZ

...or the Fn button.

At first glance of the control panel though, its clear to me that Pentax has moved to buttons and dials rather than exposed switches. My feeling (not professional opinion) is that buttons are easier to weather seal - via a simple O-ring - than switches are. Perhaps Pentax is indeed looking at weather sealing their flash system to match the ruggedness of their cameras? That alone would justify the cost to go with a Pentax flash over a 3rd party Metz/Sigma...at least to me.

The metal shoe is a welcome addition!

I like it, looks similar in control layout to the Nikon SB700, which i love. I'm sure it has wireless, they wouldn't opt out of that, its been a major function of the Pentax flashguns. Now, they need to get rid of that stupid proprietary sync jack. That thing is horrible.

As for the metal shoe, I'm undecided. If my camera take a tumble, and I have the option between plastic shoe which will break the flash, or metal shoe which will possibly break the camera... i choose break the flash any day of the week. Sorry.

I liked. Design wise is really an 360 updated.
Hope they implement some sort of configuration memory.
But the lack of a dedicated wireless switch/lever will be seriously missed....

I hope that dial is easier to turn than the one on my current-model 360 is. I have to really grab hard and dig in with a fingernail to get it moving.

Very nice to be able to see the upcoming 360 flash. It looks ok, but I was kind of wishing for a little more. It seems like something they should have had released a few years ago. It really need to have built-in radio control and be weather-sealed.

Looks interesting. Metal hotshoe ftw the win. But I would love for there to be sync jack for using radio triggers. That way you don't have to fool around with little hotshoe sync adapters. Maybe there's one hidden on the other side, but I doubt it. Step in the right direction though!
