A bit off topic, but anyway: Maybe someone can ask Sigma, whether the updated 30mm f1,4 will be available in K mount? It is not included into their press release. Funny - they promise FF 35mm f1,4, but not APS-C dedicated 30mm f1.4 .

I think this is another valid vein. Questions for third party manufacturers...

Any other lenses on the wishlist of non-k mount lenses? Tamron 24-70/2.8?

WR Support?

Fast primes to fill the holes in Pentax's lineup?

It concerns the K SMC 300mm F4 lens.
Most of us are far more interested in the future than the past. Asking about a lens from several generatons ago, that not many people own, would not be a productive use of limited time.

LOL, tell that to the people who demand a "decrippeled" K-mount.

K-01 evf

How about an EVF for the K-01 camera. Should be able to pull off the hot shoe type like the V-2 or V-3 Olympus.

If you Truely believe in your Brand and your Product how about including a 2 x year standard Warranty on all your lenses.

Pentax Canada and I believe Europe offer two-year warranties.

Expected launch of a fast Q mount wide angle prime; I'm really waiting for it.
DA versions of legendary high end lenses like A*1.8 135 mm and FA 200 macro, FA 250-600...; same optical formula can be kept, development cost should be minimal...
What about the APS-C K5 successor (K3 ?)
I'd love an aps-c Pentax-K module for GXR, similar to the already available Module M (for Leica lenses)

It would be fine if the GXR K-Module maintain Pentax Auto and Autofocus features, but I would be happy even with a fully Manual GXR k-Module with the same sensor quality as in Leica-M.

Will Pentax support tethred shooting - either by own means or by cooperation with Phase One/Capture One or yLightroom - or Silkypix. I am a Capture One 7 pro user, and I am sorry to see that Capture One only supports tethered shooting with Phase One, Leaf, Canon and Nikon cameras. I use PK-Tether (third party free software) but this doesn't support integrated RAW convertion on the fly.

If the Prime II supported focus peaking it would have been done by now.

Really? FF is possible too. Tethering, updated flashes, normal lens prices, you name it...

What if it does support peaking but Pentax doesn't want to spend any R&D resources on something they won't get their investment back on? It will only cost them.

If you look at the history of Pentax firmware upgrades you will find that, if the hardware supports it, it will be upgraded. SDHC, SDXC, SDM etc...

What won't be done is tethering support. Hoya had no interest in supporting it and it doesn't seem Ricoh does either.

Sorry to disagree, and I could be misremembering, but doesn't the 645D have a tethering option or a Beta that was out? If so, wouldn't that indicate at least some interest in tethering by Pentax-Ricoh? Didn't they have official tethering back in the K10D days, or sometime back then?

Indeed, there is a paid tethering software, available for the 645D and yes, the old Remote Assistant was awful but it worked.

In the EU countries the seller must offer a two year warrantie. The Italian dealer of Pentax offers four years.
