Great, I have another prediction: my collection of 50mm lenses will hit 200 by 2020.

Doesn't Canon also have a 50 1.2?
They do but it really isn't any better than the pentax 50mm f/1.2, in some cases the 50mm f/1.2L is actually worse than the pentax 50mm f/1.2. The canon 50L has a really big problem with purple fringing. Canon originally had a 50mm f/1.0 - but at the time so few of their cameras had AF that was accurate enough to use it.

I didn't know that - probably partly explains why so many Canon users cannibalize our 50 1.2.

This is great, glad they're keeping it up. I probably wouldn't replace my Voigtlander 58/1.4, I'm waiting for Samyang to release a 135/2.

Nice! I wonder how it will compare to my Revuenon 55/1.2?

Samyang is really doing a great job in becoming a trusted third party lens supplier. I'm really looking forward to their 24mm f/3.5 Tilt Shift which should be available starting next month. I'm actually sticking with my K5 and not upgrading to the K5IIs especially to make sure I will be able to afford that lens (not knowing the pricing yet).

Looks interesting. Will be at least as cheap as current Pentax 50mm offerings and Samyang has a name for releasing lenses that are very sharp wide open.

The biggest problem is that manual focus at f1.2 is pretty hard. I own the DA *55 and can't really see switching to a lens like this, unless they would decide to start releasing lenses with auto focus...

It's easier to focus with a manual focus lens, even with the stock screen. At least it was with the Porst 55/1.2

It depends on the lens. The DA 55 and the FA limiteds have a pretty good manual focus feel to them. I can use them pretty well on my K-01 because of focus peaking. I just don't think my vision is good enough to use them with my K5, unless I would replace the focus screen.

Fotogears (official Samyang Asia partner) worte on their facebook page that a new Samyang 50mm f/1.2 A-mount lens is on the Samyang roadmap and could come in 2014.
Doesn't that mean that it will not mount on PK cameras? On their facebook page it states that it will only be available for Canon, Sony and Nikon. Please correct me if I'm wrong though. I love ultrafast lenses. Especially at Samyang prices and Samyang quality.

About autofocus, I was once told that that was pretty hard to accomplish on such fast lenses. Maybe CDAF will be a better performer there?

My hat is off for you.
Do focals 40, 45, 55, 58 count in as 50mm 'normal' too?

Samyang has just always brought out k mount lenses in the past and even when they haven't had an 'A' setting on other mounts, they have on Pentax. Particularly for a manual focus only lenses, there wouldn't be any point in not releasing a k mount version of this lens.
