I think that anyone that did any research before buying the K5 II should have come to the conclusion that the model was not going to be at the head of Pentax's product line up for very long
Also, rule number one when buying anything is to buy something because it suits your needs at the time. Anyway, I would think the K3 would be a tier above the K5 II anyway - I doubt the price on the K5II will drop hugely.
