Sure...and that makes it much less of a niche market than a FF body

I'm hoping they make the SD card door solid like the old K10D/K20D body...never really liked the K-5's doors...but I'd be happy if they added USB 3.0 and a tethering API...

RE: Swivel Screen - Olympus did that in 2001 on their flagship Digital Camera, the E-20n. If Pentax wants to it should be able to.

I think something like that is more likely to be a part of Ricoh line up.

Just a hunch.
I don't recall Pentax shooters asking for monochrome. I have heard Ricoh shooters asking for it. This would be a natural thing for Ricoh to do, considering their M-mount module and the Leica M9 Monochrom body.

Pentax had offered flip-out screens too.

Neither of these were WR. John Carlson said that Pentax didn't use a flip screen because it was a compromise for weather resistance, yet Olympus has WR bodies with flip screen.

I haven't cared much about a flip screen because of added bulk, but it is a handy feature. I'm thinking now I'd like it on a pro-spec K-3 body, along with the improved CDAF and peaking shown in the K-30.

Man, I'm getting really impatient to see what we're getting in the K-3. PhotoRumors is saying the Canon 70D will be announced on March 22.

I didn't say it had WR, I said neither the Olympus nor the Pentax you linked had WR.

Did you hear about problems of E-3's LCD in bad weather?

Why is that (just asking, not criticising)? The swivelling screen on the D5100 is not too badly done, though I admit that the clunky one on the MX-1 does the design no favours at all. Personally, I don't think that the K-3 will have one, but that's just a guess on my part.
for me its the added bulk, the possibliity that the weather sealing could be compromised, as well as the fact that its more easily broken if dropped or banged.

i do see its advantages for movie mode or live view. but no thanks, not for me.

The screen for Olympus E-5 is very good, bud no swifel wouldn't be a problem for me.

Swivel LCD goes with enhanced video capabilities, a spot where Pentax is non-competitive at the price point.

I don't care about video, but tilt is probably enough for still photography, it doesn't need to swivel.
