Ben Kanarek is correct.

I've been shooting my K20D for two days now and I'm impressed. The level of detail is significantly more than the 10D, the color accuracy is magnificent and tonal range seems slightly better. A verbal example of the detail, I shoot a precast condominium building next to mine for testing. With the 10D it records the joint lines of the precast. With the 20D the texture of the pebbles in the precast predominates. I've used three lenses, the current 100/2.8 macro, a ZK 50/1.4 and an A* 85/1.4 so the glass ahoudn't be holding anything back. My other system is Leica M8's and they produce really good files. The 20D files are different but I would now not hesitate to use the Pentax for any project.

It may be difficult for you to believe my words but I now have two systems that I feel
can accomplish the absolute in 35mm format up to a print size of 24"x36".

The attached file just begins to show the quality. Look at the detail in the wheel.

Would you guys please stop it!!! I've just blown a bundle on new glass and have a serious case of GAS over this camera.

Guess it's my fault for opening the thread...

The correct term is "Delphic" (sorry, couldn't let that go, call it pride)

Your informed opinion is most appreciated. If I didn't spend so much on 'things' last month this and other opinions like it would probably push me over my self deliberation into ordering the K20D. ...and there's presently a pair of old Bogen 807 based tube amps (my other vice) that I've got my eyes on, and they're not going to come cheap, so...
