No, not at all, I think APS-H is utterly silly. When I talk about "near-FF" in the context of a high-end 645D model, I of course mean a sensor covering almost 645 FF!

It's time for Pentax to re-badge Tamron FF lenses and add up the price.

Not like they haven't done so already

I wouldn't mind a rebadged 24-70 F2.8, even if it was $100 more than the Tamron. No more than $100 though!

They only did it for some kit lenses, AFAIK.

If you just look at Pentax, maybe, I have Sigma 17 - 35, 28 - 70, 70-200 all DG / FF In FF primes I have Sigma 24mm and Pentax 43, 50, 77, 100 I have been waiting a long time for a Pentax FF and the 'certanty' that one would come has coloured my lens purchases.
me too, though I have a Contax Carl Zeiss lenses I'm planning on re-engineering for the K mount the - Distagon 21mm f/2.8. that covers the wide end*, I also have the FA31, 50mm f/1.2, FA77 and my Sigma 100-300mm f/4 APO EX DG and 180mm f/3.5 macro lenses to cover the longer focal lengths - and i'm able to fit all that in one bag.

*I also have a Sigma 8-16mm f/4.5-5.6 EX DC however at focal lengths over 14mm this lens can cover full frame.

That would be a bad move - pentax re-designed the lens hood for the DA 25mm f/4 ED ASPH so that it actually serves a purpose in terms of its 19.5mm focal length on the 645D sensor, if they make the sensor any bigger vignetting with that lens could be...very problematic.

Sherlock Holmes Google reveals: Mike (Milan) Svitek comments in Photo Rumors.

He already owns a K-3 ("Pentax 645D + K-5 + K20D + K-3 + Leica"), which might be offered in the future with one of two possible kit lenses (a 28-80/2.8-4 or a 24-120/2.8-4.5):

I did a Google search and it only showed the post I quoted.. I do use Google

Lenses which were not worth designing in-house

They better make it a small batch in production then

Well I still think that it could do the trick packed in a small body. All new sensortechnics and the latest offerings in electronics (and AF) from Pentax could make a great APS-H camera.

They still sell only the DFA version in Japan, though!
