Re' Protools: I use Cubase 7, UAD2, Liquid mix, Powercores and Native plug-ins. Protools is OK for mixing but most of us who are musicians need music creation tools as well as the mixing tools. I only wish that Cubase had VCA mixing.
I hear that, VCA would be great. I'm really enjoying the latest update to 7 though...coming from SX2 it was a huge upgrade.
The Powerscore stuff is simply amazing! I sold them off though, just wasn't doing as much with it in recent years. I never liked Protools... can't export a song without listening to it? wtf? Have to use certain hardware? no thanks. too limiting.
I find now that I'm not as into the studio recording as I used to be I don't need the Firepods, Powercores, and Blue microphones anymore. I'm happy with Ableton, Audiobox USB, and a few Senhieser mics now.
